Stephanie Tow, MD, FAAPMR is a Pediatric Sports Medicine Fellow at Children's Mercy Kansas City. She is board-certified in PM&R and also fellowship-trained and board eligible in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine.
Dr. Tow received her undergraduate education from Johns Hopkins University. Prior to starting medical school, she worked as a Fulbright Scholar in Hong Kong. She then received her medical degree from UMDNJ (now Rutgers University) - New Jersey Medical School. She completed her preliminary intern year in Internal Medicine at University of Maryland Mercy Medical Center. She subsequently pursued her PM&R residency and chief residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She then completed her Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine fellowship at University of Colorado/Children's Hospital Colorado prior to her current Pediatric Sports Medicine fellowship.
Dr. Tow is the outgoing Fellow Liaison to the AMSSM Education Committee. She is also currently Team Physician and National Medical Classifier for US Paralympics Swimming and has been involved with various adaptive sports organizations as a physician, medical director, and/or volunteer.
