Registration is now open for the 2024 Advanced Team Physician Course (ATPC), which aims to provide up-to-date information on the evaluation and treatment of medical illnesses and musculoskeletal injuries occurring in competitive and recreational athletes. While the course focuses on athletes participating in team sports, many topics are applicable to competitions in individual sports.

The ATPC is a collaborative effort between AMSSM and ACSM, is co-sponsored by AOASM and AOSSM and takes place from December 10-12, at the Sheraton Grand Nashville Hotel. This conference should prove valuable to any team physician, certified athletic trainer, physical therapist or allied health professional concerned with the management or prevention of injuries to the team athlete.
This live activity features lectures, case presentations, panel discussions, question-and-answer sessions, as well as informal discussions with the faculty. AMSSM Past President Matt Gammons, MD, FAMSSM, and Holly Benjamin, MD, FAMSSM, are the two AMSSM Representatives on the Program Planning Committee, along with longtime AMSSM members Sherrie Ballantine-Talmadge, DO (ACSM) and Jeffrey Bytomski, DO, FAMSSM (AOASM). They will be joined by several other AMSSM members presenting at the conference.
The advance registration deadline for the ATPC is November 22. After this date, on-site registration will become available on the morning of December 10 before the course begins.
The Sheraton Grand Nashville Hotel is the site for this year's ATPC. A block of rooms has been reserved and room/rate availability can only be guaranteed until November 12, 2024, or until the block of rooms is sold out, whichever comes first.
